The flip-flopping TACO President is back in force. The TACO bell has rung.
He will impose 1500% tariffs on countries he doesn’t like. Then, a few days later, we discovered he actually imposed 1.5% tariffs. Didn’t this man take basic arithmetic in school? The next day, he raised the tariffs to 15%. The following week, he lowered tariffs on industries in those countries that “took a knee.” The TACO man says that tariffs will make America great again. On and on…the blather continues.
A recent report from America’s number one retailer implies that TACO president’s claims about tariffs constitute false advertising. It’s no wonder Mr. TACO gutted the Consumer Protection Agency.
Surprise, surprise…Amazon CEO Andy Jassy reports at the World Economic Forum in Davos that the President’s tariffs have started to creep into the prices of many items. He said sellers tried to absorb the tariffs by buying stock before the tariffs took effect, but most of that pre-tariff inventory has been exhausted. Tariffs NEVER work; they only bring chaos and ultimately lead to both financial and actual wars.
So what will the TACO president do next to divert his Fox viewers’ attention?
The other day, Mr. TACO said he might use force to stage a gangster takeover of Greenland, and the US stock market fell 2%. So, Mr. TACO immediately flip-flopped and said he wouldn’t use force to take over the territory of a NATO member. Oops…a stupid diversion.
I am beginning to feel sorry for people who voted for Mr. TACO. They are either in a total state of denial or have become paralyzed with inactivity. They are in hiding or have begun to wear brown bags over their heads or large COVID masks. Intellectually, they have suddenly become Independents or Libertarians.
It has become abundantly clear that Mr. TACO is suffering from some type of dementia. His behavior is even more erratic than his “normal” narcissistic self. Unfortunately, the 25th Amendment is an impractical tool to solve this Constitutional dilemma. To remove TACO from the menu, the President’s cabinet must declare him unable to serve. We have seen the quality of the present Cabinet. They wouldn’t vote to remove Mr. TACO if he lined up and shot all their mothers on 5th Avenue in New York City.
The only thing that Mr. TACO seems to react to is the stock market. Should we all pray that our 401(k)s and pensions take a ride similar to the one George W. Bush took us on in 2008?
